About Scott’s Flooring

Scott’s Flooring has been a trusted part of the Miles City community since the 1970s. The business was founded by Scott Tally, and just one year later his brother, Brett Tally, joined him. Together, they built a reputation for quality workmanship, honest advice, and dependable service that has lasted for decades.

Around 2016, Uncle Scott retired from the business, and ownership transitioned to Brett and his wife, Jean. Under their leadership, Scott’s Flooring continued to grow while staying true to the values it was founded on.

In 2021, their son Brooks Tally joined the family business after graduating from college. A lifelong Miles City resident and fourth-generation Montanan, Brooks grew up working in the business and developed a deep appreciation for flooring, craftsmanship, and customer service at an early age. After college, he knew his future was in Miles City and chose to return home to help carry on the family legacy.

Today, Brooks is focused on building the future of Scott’s Flooring while honoring its past. His vision is to make Scott’s Flooring the premier flooring shop in Eastern Montana by offering quality products, treating every customer with respect, and making sure each customer gets the right product for the job.
