About Merical’s Tree Service
Merical’s Tree Service LLC was founded in 2009 by Kord Merical of Miles City, Montana. Kord began working in the logging industry as a teenager, where he developed a deep respect for trees, hard work, and doing things the right way. His life has also been shaped by years of service — including combat service with the United States Marine Corps, later service with the Montana National Guard, and time serving the community through the Miles City Police Department.
The idea for Merical’s Tree Service came during Kord’s time with the police department. After receiving a small stipend and praying about what to do with it, he felt led to buy a chainsaw. That simple step of faith became the beginning of the business and strengthened his belief that he was being called to this work. What started as a part-time operation in 2009 grew steadily, and by 2012 it had become a full-time profession.
From the beginning, Kord’s vision was to be the local tree service people can rely on. Integrity, reliability, safety, and professionalism guide every job. He believes in knowing when a tree truly needs to be removed and when it can be properly trimmed, treated, and cared for so it can thrive again.
Merical’s Tree Service provides tree trimming, tree removal, stump removal, branch treatment, and complete site restoration. When a stump is removed, the area is finished with topsoil and grass so the property looks clean and natural — as if the tree was never there. Kord doesn’t quit until the job is done, and his goal on every project is to leave customers confident they made the right call.
