Founded in July 2024, Custer County Recreation (CC-Rec) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving recreational opportunities throughout Custer County, Montana. All donations to CC-Rec are tax-deductible and go directly toward community recreation projects.

CC-Rec was started by a passionate group of local moms — and one determined grandma — who shared a vision of creating more opportunities for kids and families in Miles City. Their idea gained momentum when several members of the Milestown Community Improvement Incorporated (MCII) joined their efforts, helping to formally establish the organization.

That vision became CC-Rec’s mission: to make Miles City a better place by expanding and enhancing recreation for all ages. The organization’s first major project is the development of a 7,000–8,000 square-foot skate park in Miles City — a space designed to bring families together, foster healthy activity, and strengthen community pride.
